After finishing various commissions shortly before Christmas, I continued with the wildlife theme and produced a body of work along a theme. They were all in mixed media, a combination of both coloured pencils and pastels.
I started with some big cats because I love to capture both the eyes and expression.
However, I also chose some subjects that can be found in the UK.
Meanwhile, I am also working on a set of bird images together with some pet portraits of course. However, I like to swap my subjects around a little bit, that way I think you avoid getting repetitive and it stops the boredom factor creeping in!

/ February 15, 2012I love your work, Chrissy! I can almost feel the soft warmth of the fur on your creatures! Oh, some day … would love to have you do a portrait of our lab/border collie Djuna. Someday. I can dream, right? Beautiful!
